Description
Discover Photography - Level 2, is designed as a follow-up to my beginners Discover Photography - Level 1 workshop, but is also pitched to more advanced photographers seeking a refresher course. This workshop is less classroom based than my beginners workshop and involves more shooting.
We start the day at 10:30am with a coffee and a recap at the Stew and Oyster. I'll give a brief recap of the three components of what photographers call the "Exposure Triangle": Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO. Then we go out with our cameras and (fingers crossed for a nice day) along the way we will practice our photography. I'll give you one-to-one support as you take pictures and share more tips for focusing, exposure, framing and composition to help you gain perfect pictures every time.
What to Bring
Your own digital SLR camera, bridge camera, or point-and-shoot camera (provided it has manual settings) and any lenses along with the camera’s manual, your tripod if you have one, some warm clothes for outside photography, and a bite to eat for lunch. It would be great to see a small selection of photos you have taken, this would give me an idea of your interests and skill level -- 5 photos would be great, digital or prints.
Reviews and Comments from past workshop participants:
It was great to understand what the features were on my camera and how to use them to take better pictures. I just need to practice now. - Joanne Jackson
This was the second of two workshops with Chris. I now feel that I have the knowledge, understanding and perhaps most important , the confidence to use my camera off auto, and now fully manual.- Judy Holmes
Chris is very helpful and engages with his audience. I have learnt much more in this course than others I have attended. - David Brown
